One Fruit Fly, Infinite Questions

A YouTuber named Ro0oney put a FRUIT FLY’s brain into Minecraft. Now, how did this all start? Well, Google released a fruit fly’s brain, with neural links and everything it had when it was alive, for free, so that scientists can study it. But YouTuber Ro0oney was different. He was no scientist, but he managed to:

He not only had to download it, but also had to teach it how to function, defend itself, touch, fly, taste, be hungry, feel heat, avoid dying, sense sugar, predict weather, and have memory.

He also taught them how to mate just like how they do in real life.

Now this does raise the question: Is it conscious? And the answer is… we don’t know. While it is a real life fruit fly brain, it is still Minecraft, but again, another question arises , what if it thinks Minecraft is the real world, and it discovers one day that it’s in the matrix? Can we effectively resurrect humans with this? What will they say if they discover they’re in the matrix? Will they be horrified? Amazed?

In conclusion, Ro0oney is a Minecraft YouTuber who re-created a fruit fly’s brain in Minecraft. This arouses questions such as: Is it conscious? Can we effectively resurrect humans with this? Is this ethical? These questions feel like they are better left unanswered, and make one wonder if we’re in a matrix.

The Cushion: Small Chair, Big Potential

The cushion is a new Minecraft entity that functions like a block. It allows the player to sit down after 17 FULL YEARS. It was announced on July 7, 2026, alongside wool stairs and slabs, and straw beds.

Since it’s an entity just like a boat, while functioning more similarly to a shulker, it is the first block that can be put on ANY Y LEVEL. This is done by placing it on a non-full block and it changes its y value by placing it on the block directly, or on top of one of its hitboxes.

Despite being intended to make chairs, people have already made ways to turn it into led floors. They have produced over 150 colors by placing it on a sign and quickly replacing the the block with a light source block. Turning the light source on and off affects the cushion’s brightness level.

Previously, people used sulfur cubes to make TVs, but they are really laggy and require datapacks and optimization mods to run, sometimes even needing insanely expensive PCs. But with cushions being more optimized and most importantly having no AI or anticipation by the game to move, they are simply better.

YouTuber CraftyMasterMan has already made a cushion LED screen. It works by just using a 3x3 grid of red, green, and blue cushions, and different copper bulb oxidation levels for different light levels. The resolution is insane, and is expandable infinitely because it’s on the ground, not needing to follow the 319 world height limit. You can up your simulation and render distance with mods such as Bobby and Voxy, which is better because it’s more optimized.

In conclusion, cushions are a new Minecraft entity that is meant to be sat on, but instead is used for TVs. It really goes to show how imaginative minecrafters are. While it doesn’t look too good now, just you wait, and people will keep finding ways to make it better and better.
